You’ve already learned a bit about me in the "About Me" section, so you know why I’m passionate about this business and the work I do. However, I firmly believe no one person has all the answers. We are only as capable as the people we choose to surround ourselves with.
I founded CIRSA in 2014 with a mission to help individuals and businesses secure their financial futures. But like many small businesses, we faced significant challenges when COVID-19 hit in 2020. The pandemic tested our resilience, forcing us to rethink everything from the ground up. I decided to reorganize CIRSA entirely—registering anew, updating our Articles of Incorporation, revamping our social media presence, and, most importantly, redefining our mission.
In CIRSA's early years, we proudly served our local community in the Midwest. However, the pandemic taught me the importance of adaptability. With in-person interactions no longer guaranteed, I embraced virtual technology to maintain connections with my clients. This shift not only allowed me to continue serving local clients but also opened up opportunities to reach a nationwide audience. Today, CIRSA can assist more people than ever, offering tailored solutions to meet diverse needs.
To achieve this growth, I knew I needed to build a stronger team—one that could match my vision and deliver exceptional service. My years as an athlete taught me the value of teamwork. Playing for successful teams under great coaches showed me that collaboration is key. These coaches relied on assistant experts to refine every aspect of the game, turning good teams into champions. I’ve carried that philosophy into CIRSA by assembling a network of specialized and talented partners and professionals.

Matt is extremely passionate about working with clients. Understanding the unique personal and financial goals of every client he works with is one of his guiding principles. He brings strong attention to detail, listening skills and empathy to each interaction to ensure his clients feel empowered to achieve those goals in retirement. He prides himself on his integrity and professionalism because he believes those characteristics help him provide the highest level of service and are critical to building long-term relationships. In addition to working directly with clients, one of Matt’s primary roles is coaching and developing other advisors in all areas of portfolio and practice management, and he currently supports more than 200 advisors.
Matt earned his B.S. in Business with a concentration in Finance, and he also holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which has been the standard of excellence for financial planners. As a CFP® professional, he has met extensive training requirements and commitment to the Board’s ethical standards, which require him to act as a fiduciary by putting his clients’ interests first.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife of 20 years and their two children. He loves playing golf with his son, as well as watching him develop his talents as an artist and graphic designer. He also loves watching his daughter pursue her passions of horseback riding, ballroom dancing competitions, and ballet performances.
